Accessibility Statement

A website that works for everyone.

Many of the people who visit this website are older adults, or family members helping someone they love. We want every page to be easy to read and use, including with a screen reader, a keyboard, or larger text.

Our standard

This website is built to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. That is the standard the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services adopted in its 2024 Section 504 rule for health care providers that receive federal funds, such as Medicare and Medicaid. Under that rule, organizations with 15 or more employees must meet it by May 11, 2026, and smaller organizations by May 10, 2027.

In practice that means readable text contrast, descriptive text for images, a “skip to main content” link, pages that can be used with a keyboard alone, motion that stops when your device asks for reduced motion, and layouts that work on phones and with zoom.

How we check

Every page is tested with automated accessibility checks (axe) on phone and desktop screen sizes whenever the website changes, and problems are fixed before changes go live. Automated checks don’t catch everything, so we welcome your reports.
